This afternoon during Blinn’s nap I sorted through this mess of toiletries, cleaners, jewerly, makeup, etc. for 2 hours…

After 2 tedious hours picking those darn invisible rubber bands out of clumps of necklaces and throwing away a garbage-full of stuff, here’s what I ended up with!

So I made progress! Everything is separated into 13 boxes: Hair stuff, extra toiletries, medicine/first aid, Blinn’s toiletries, herbal medicine/vitamins, Greg’s toiletries, makeup, jewelry and accessories, my toiletries, misc. box (humidifier, hot water bottle, Blinn’s potty seat (to be used in the next few months!), and two different cleaning supply boxes. (1 box of stuff to keep/take to new apt, 1 box of stuff to use to clean old apt. and then toss).
I’m still haven’t switched over a few of my cleaners to more natural/organic/non-toxic ones. Here’s what I need help with: toilet bowl cleaner and carpet cleaner. Anyone tried a good healthy version of either??

Watkins sells a good organic toilet cleaner. Chip’s mom sells it. We just ordered some. I’ll let you know how it works.
Not sure about carpet. We’ve ripped up all of our carpet because of allergies.
For the toilet, I sprinkle the following into the bowl and then scrub and brush:
Dr. Bronner’s Soap
Lemongrass Essential Oil
Lavender Essential Oil
Baking Soda (for extra scrubby power)
You can switch up the oils for any “flavor” you like
For the carpet, I would just use a diluted mixture of Dr. Bronner’s and maybe vinegar, depending on what the stain was. Shaklee also sells Basic H, which is a multi-purpose cleaner that would work well.
Thanks for the tips guys! I’ll have to try out the Bronners/Essentials/BSoda first since I have all of those around the house, otherwise I’ll be checking out those brands!
I use EXACTLY what Sara Said and it works great
